Meet The Maker Behind ShedArt-79
My journey into the world of recycling and upcycling began long before ShedArt-79 was born. After retiring in 2014, I decided to turn my lifelong passion for creating art, garden features, and repairing and refurbishing original or vintage light fittings into something more than just a hobby. What started as a simple pastime soon became a self-sufficient venture fuelled by creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to sustainability.
I believe in doing things the right way—high-quality, handcrafted pieces made to last. Whether it’s upcycled art, original or vintage light repairs or refurbishment, or garden features, I never cut corners and always ensure every piece is made or restored with care. I use modern techniques and testing where necessary, to ensure that each creation is not only beautiful but also safe and sustainable.
Throughout my career, I worked with various materials, developing an eye for detail and a knack for turning everyday items into something extraordinary. My background in engineering and electrical work has always influenced my approach to design, allowing me to combine both function and beauty in ways that others might overlook.
