Bird & Bug Boxes

The Bird - Bug - Planter Boxes are now in limited production made from offcuts of 16mm Marine Ply / Fence Post Bits / Click Vinyl Flooring / Old Piano Hinge lengths and What’s left over in the Paint Tins.

The thoughts are Birds have a nest with an attached Bug and Insect Home and 2 detachable Planters full of Pollinator Plants…so this creates a Bio-Diversity Hub in any garden.

The box contains 2 full length bug houses with a floor above to create a base for the nest area, which also has a low level drainage hole to keep it dry should water get in.

The roof is sloped and hinged one side to allow cleaning access and is made of hard vinyl clip floor and overlaps sides to prevent water ingress.

The Clip-On Planters are made of Marine Ply and lined with Clear Polyurethane Lacquer to prevent sustained water damage from plants. there are also Drain Tubes to prevent water build , which could saturate plants.

The whole unit is made for wall or fence fixing and allows for narrow stand-off to prevent wood rot. Though it could be mounted on a solidly fixed large width post with suitable brackets..

Final touch was to add some Rub-On Plant / Flower Decals….and i think that’s a nice wildlife environment and Garden Feature.
