WORKSHOP JOBS

  • Lemon - Lime - Strawberry Deco Block set ..

Made these out of and old 4” x 4” and 3” x 3” fence post offcuts / Aluminium bits and old vintage floorboard nails.. 9 Sets made.

  • Cat and Owl Deco Figures..

Made from wood offcuts with addition of glass eyes and noses and a bit of artistic licence.

  • Vintage Fuel Cans.. Esso - French various - R.O.P. Russian Oil Products.

Refurbished and painted to make them look good in Man Sheds or Garages collections. R.O.P. can is a bit rarer and has a brass tap.. I just made a cap for it and repaired bottom foot, but left it as we found it.

  • Door Stops..

These are made from Oak blocks with a Steel Ring and Anti Slip feet pads. The oak came from the staircase of a house in Bishops Avenue N2 that i was involved in de-commissioning. 9 blocks made.

  • Display Plinths with Glass or Copper Bud Vases or Plain Flat Bases.

Made in various sizes and recycled Hardwoods and with pad feet on bottom and sanded and fine edge detail applied, then waxed and polished.

  • Wooden Framed Pictures,

Made from Recycled Pallet and offcuts of various woods and Aluminium to create unique one-off pieces of art with different subjects.

  • Bugle Succulent Planter.

Went to a garden in Lincolnshire and they were planting succulents on pieces of stone slabs that were fixed standing end on ..the theory being the roots of the succulent went down into the gaps to a depth to get water and was therefore not suffering from prolonged dry weather, which is what we are all suffering with pot plants etc with climate change.. it worked for them so i thought. ”can i put an artistic view on this”. So a bugle has a shape that can do the same thing by retaining water in it tubes. So i tried it in my design and it work really well with the plant being healthy. and needing very little attention.

  • Anchor Light fitting..

This was a 19th Century Ships Light that was used when a sailing ship anchored in a bay and was then hauled by hand to the top of the mast to make other vessels aware of its presence. The ship must have been large as this light weighs in at 7 Kg and is solid brass with 1” thick glass. A hook on top and bottom to attach it to mast rope pulleys.

i converted it to a battery powered LED unit with downlighters and touch dimmer to hang over our dining room table. Its a great talking point and the renovation hasn’t taken away its unique look. Its a very valuable light but i am not going to part with it.

  • Small Dog and Cat Kennels.

These were containers for Mango Pulp that was sent from India to UK. I used them as cat biscuit and bird food containers for a while ,then got some different boxes. So i cut hole in lids and fixed some legs on them to create a waterproof kennel environment. one was immediately used by a Chihuahua owner and another her old Siamese cat. Still have some left. 1 Large and 3 Small.
